Trading involves risk of loss. Performance is not a promise.

About

A strategy taught by hand,
now run by rules.

If a disciplined options strategy works when a person follows every rule, what happens when software never skips one?

Who I am

I learned it first, then built it

Leon Gaban, founder of Nument Trade, speaking on stage

I’m Leon Gaban, founder of Nument Trade. I learned weekly SPX iron condors by hand, as a student of Dorian Trader.

The hard part is following every rule on every day, good or bad. So I built the system that does it, in my own account first.

Where the strategy comes from

Dorian Trader

O’Brian, founder of Dorian Trader

Dorian Trader is an options education firm in Houston, Texas, run by O’Brian. It teaches probability-based options selling, much like insurance underwriting, through a trading club, courses and a one-year apprenticeship. Our strategies are drawn from that teaching. We open with the weekly SPX iron condor, with more on the way.

Nument Trade is independent. Dorian Trader does not manage your money or endorse this site.

From teaching to automation

Every step is a written rule

01 · Enter

One window, one trade

Enters in its set window, only when your conditions are met.

02 · Defend

Adjust, don’t panic

A tested side is rolled out of danger, in a fixed order.

03 · Close

You can always step in

Take profit, close, or take control at any time.

The four-step ladder

What happens when a side is tested

As a short strike nears the market price, the strategy climbs the same four steps, in the same order, every time.

  1. 1

    First adjustment

    35Δ Delta

Roll the tested side back to at least 20 delta, paid for by rolling the other side up. Collect at least $50 more than it costs.

  2. 2

    Proactive

    25Δ Delta

Roll the threatened side away 5 to 15 points.

  3. 3

    Third adjustment

    35Δ Delta

    Same as the first.

  4. 4

    Terminal handling

    35Δ Delta

Close the tested side and buy back the other at $0.10. No new trade that day.

Triggers shown are defaults. Adjusting does not guarantee a profit, and a trade can still lose.

What we are not

Clear about the limits

  • Not investment advice. You choose the strategy.
  • Not a guarantee. Every trade can lose.
  • Not a fund. Trades run in your own brokerage account.
